Time and place. The meeting was conducted at 12 noon in on USF Tampa in CMC 204 and on Zoom.

June 20 minutes approved.


Attendance. Eleven members.


President’s Report.

  • Certification. PERC is making odd demands, and we will restart the SOI card collection..
  • Committees for Fall 2025. People are volunteering to be on committees. One need is for members of the Government Relations committee.
  • New Faculty Orientation. We are planning for New Faculty Orientation on August 12.
  • Days of Action. We will call for faculty attendance at the Board of Trustees meeting on Sept. 9 and the Bargaining Session on Sept. 10.
  • New College v. USF Sarasota / Manatee. Discussion.


Reports.

  • Membership. We are planning for fall.
  • Collective Bargaining. We are seeking a new chair of the Collective Bargaining Committee as Karin Braunsberger is retiring.
  • <.b>Grievances and Contract Enforcement. There is a push to require faculty to be in their offices during business hours. This is already being imposed on librarians. Grievance training is on July 14, at 4:30, online.
  • Treasury. We are solvent.
  • Publicity. We are working on the website.
  • Government Relations. We need people to talk to legislators.
